Look, Mom, No Training Wheels!

Charlie decided the other day that he didn't want training wheels on his bike anymore, since he thinks he is seven, not four! So, we gave in, and tried it and after only a few tries (and falls) he got the hang of it! He gets better and better every day and thinks he is pretty cool! He still falls some, but only after he has been on the bike awhile. Good job, Charlie Hayden!

ER Run for the Fox Family!

Yesterday I got a call from daycare at about 4pm that Charlie had vomited all over, so I went to pick him up and he got sick three more times that evening. However, the last time he vomited at about 10:30pm he had thrown up a lot of blood, so we called the after hours care line and they said to bring him to the emergency room. My husband said he would just take him since Cameron was already asleep, but I, too, insisted on going with, so we hauled both boys to the St. Elizabeth's ER at 10:45pm. The doctor took some blood tests to make sure everything was OK and we had to wait until we got the results. Fortunately, everything came back normal and we finally got to leave at about 1:30am! Talk about a long evening! Luckily the boys slept in a little bit this morning so I could sleep, too, because I was dead tired! The one good thing about the night was that we ran into one of our old neighbors who is an overnight nurse in the ER there. Her name is Heather and she was pregnant the same time I was with Charlie when we both moved to our neighborhood 5 years ago. She was one of the first people I met when we moved so we all hung out together alot. Unfortunately, they moved after about a year and a half and we've kept in touch but haven't gotten together as much as we'd hoped to. Hopefully when I stay home after the baby we'll find time to get together more. It was great chatting with her while we waited for Charlie's results. She helped make the time go fast! Anyway, all I can say is that I am grateful that Charlie is doing much better today and the next time we go to the ER better be when this baby comes and not for one of my boys again!

Visiting Great Grandma at Mahoney State Park!

Daddy, Cameron and Charlie spent Saturday at Mahoney State Park with Great Grandma Joyce and her friend, Delmar, while I spent the day in Clarkson, NE with eight of my high school classmates catching up on old times. To view my day, go to my friend, Jodee's blog, "Follow the Leaders" below under my favorite blogs. Anyway, Grandma and Delmar camp at Mahoney every summer and are the camp "guides" for the other campers while they are there. The boys always have a fun time fishing, roasting marshmellows and enjoying the outdoors! The boys especially loved fishing because between the three of them (well, mainly Cameron) they caught 36 fish, and not just little ones! Cameron thought it was pretty cool catching such big ones, since he usually only catches small ones. All in all, they had a super time and love hanging out with Great Grandma Joyce! Thank you, Grandma, for showing the boys such a great time!

Favorite Girl Clothes for new Baby!

I already have my favorites of some of the items I've gotten for this baby. Here are just a few of my top choices for our new baby girl. The funky bag is a diaper that my mom got me and I absolutely love it because it is so different and modern! I just can't wait to start dressing her! It is going to be so much fun to put her in dresses and hair bows! Shopping for girls is way to much fun and addictive!

Pretty in Pink!

Finally I have a girlie room to decorate, so we went all out in PINK! We accented with a lime green and flowers to add some color other than pink! It was so nice to have a change from blue and get to design something totally different for one of my kids than I ever have, so we went ultra "girlie" with no sign of boy anywhere in her room! We love it and can only hope someday this baby girl will enjoy it, too!

Cameron and Charlie's New Room

Here are pictures of Cameron and Charlie's new bedroom that they are sharing. They each have their own twin bed and new dressers /shelves displaying all of their "baseball stuff'". They really love their room and Cameron says it is so fun to have Charlie "living with him"!

A Pink Baby Shower!

I started my Sunday with a baby shower given by my best friend from childhood, Jodee Leader. It was a very "pink" and "girlie" gathering with lots of fun stuff given to us for our baby girl. I can't wait for her arrival and dress her in all of the adorable outfits I received! I got lots of pink things including washcloths, hooded towels, diaper bag, sleepers, bottles, high chair, bouncy seat and blankets. After having two boys, it is such a nice change to go from blue to pink! Another cool gift I got was a gift certificate for a blog makeover, which I hope to do sooner than later! This generic layout isn't cutting it for me anymore, and hopefully a cuter one will get me blogging more consistently, too, since everyone says I don't update my blog enough! Jodee once again out-did herself with yummy polka dotted pearl cupcakes, a delicious brunch and super cute pink and chocolate decorations! She is always a wonderful hostess and can throw the best parties! I really was fortunate that she wanted to do this for me and it really got me in the mood for this little girl's arrival. I think it also made it feel more "real" and that it will finally happen...it seems like I've been pregnant forever, so now the light at the end of the tunnel is more clear! Thank you, thank you, thank you Jodee for the fabulous shower and taking the time to do this for me! I had a great time!
