Fourth of July on 34th Street!

Our annual Fourth of July party actually started on the third of July and went through the 4th as always! The kids were sooo excited we can never wait until the actual holiday to start the festivities. We started the day of the Fourth with a HUGE neighborhood parade that actually went down our street along with a police escort! This was the first year our neighborhood association had an organized parade, and we had an incredible turnout! A few of the neighbors and ourselves have always done our own "mini" parade, but this was alot cooler for all! We block our whole street so the kids can all play anywhere and everywhere! My husband sets up a huge sound system to play music that the whole neighborhood can enjoy! This year I would say we had the most fireworks on display in our neighborhood ever...it keeps growing every year! My boys now finally love the fireworks and aren't afraid of them anymore, which really makes it fun for all! Cameron even was lighting several of them (only the small ones we said) and was very cautious, thank goodness! Even our bachelor neighbors and some of their friends came to the party and played with all of the kids! Now Charlie thinks they are his buddies and wants to have them over for baseball and football!

It looks like you had a fabulous
4th of July. I love the parade idea!

We missed being in NE for the 4th of July. We didn't see one firework in CA and it just wasn't the same!
