Cameron's last baseball game...in 100 degree heat!

We had Cameron's last baseball game today and I believe it was the hottest day yet, topping 104 degrees! Yikes! Thank goodness he is only seven and they only play three innings, so we are done in an hour! Charlie finished his "batboy" duties until the end, even though he was starting to get tired with this awful heat. He is already asking when he can play on his own team next year, since he'll then be five and old enough to start t-ball. Cameron's coach had a wonderful surprise for each team member...a baseball trophy with their name engraved on it! Cam was sooo excited and couldn't wait to put it in his "baseball" room! Charlie said, "maybe next year when I play I'll get a trophy for myself, too!" I said, "I'm sure you will!" He so wants to be just like his big brother, and if it has anything to do with baseball, he is all over it! Although we had a great summer baseball season and their team did super, we can now say we are ready for fall to arrive, school to start, and pumpkin season to begin bringing not only a baby sister, but much more pleasant weather!
