We had our first of two open houses for Cameron's new school last night. He will be going to Cavett Elementary which is just a couple blocks from our house, which will be much more convenient than the school he went to the last two years. For kindergarten and first grade he went to Rousseau Elementary and rode the bus. We loved the school but didn't like how far away it was, so having a school much closer will be wonderful! This was the first open house for new and transferring students to get a tour of the school before next week's big open house for all students. The school seems very nice, yet much bigger than Rousseau, but that didn't seem to phase Cameron as much as me! I'm sure after a few times going there I will be much more comfortable with it and not feel that it is that huge. Next Monday we get to go back to meet his teacher and see his room, so that will much more exciting for Cameron, plus he'll then know who is in his class, too.
